Payment for MMM Journey may be done via Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, or CC. The investment for a shared room is $5600 and for a private room is $6600. 

Your investment includes: luxury accommodation, organic farm-to-table meals, fees at the sacred pyramids, entrance to the hot springs, yoga classes, all transportation to/from airport and during the stay, virtual preparation and integration group sessions.

Extra nights before or after the retreat can be booked at our luxury accommodations for a special discounted rate.

Price does not include the cost of your flight or any extra spending money for shops around San Miguel. Flights should be booked in and out of León/Bajio International Airport; officially Aeropuerto Internacional de Guanajuato.

These retreats are for those new or experienced with psilocybin. The space is supportive for anyone seeking personal development support, overcoming generational burdens, seeking clarity on their path, or who genuinely have a calling to experience the transformational medicine of the mushroom spirit.

These retreats are not for those with a history of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, epilepsy or seizures, have a history of psychosis, or those with addictions. 

All participants are required to submit a thorough medical history with their application.

Each retreat is limited to 21 participants to maintain an intimate and healing experience for all. 

After submitting your application, you may be invited for a one hour intake call with MMJ founder, Xochitl Ashe. 

The intention of this call is to answer any questions you have and to make sure our retreats can serve your needs and that we are an energetic match.

At the end of the call, if you are accepted to participate, you will be asked to submit a $1000 non-refundable deposit to save your space.

For the past five years, we have been creating these journeys and have been able to provide a safe container for all participants. 

Every single participant must go through an interview and this ensures the highest level of safety for all involved. 

Especially in a group setting, it is incredibly important that all participants meet a base level of health requirements so that the journey may be beautiful and fruitful for everyone.

There are three things that we consider before inviting participants to take part in our retreats:

1. Medical history to ensure that this medicine is safe for your use
2. Energetic match - we want to make sure that our retreats are able to provide what you're looking for
3. That your intention supports the community healing environment

You will be introduced to the mushroom spirit and the Mexican strain that we work with on Day 2 of the retreat by microdosing the strain with honey.

There will be two veladas during the week, or traditional nighttime mushroom ceremonies - just like the ancestors have held for centuries.

You will also experience a beautiful cacao and mushroom ceremony in between veladas during the day that will help you ground the visions and clarity that you may have received.

Magical Medicine Journeys is the world's first Indigenous women owned mushroom retreat experience.

We offer Indigenous-led ceremonies infused with centuries of ancestral wisdom. 

We are also trauma-informed trained in Western mental health practices and your retreat lead, Xochitl, is an Internal Family Systems practitioner. 

This merging of BOTH ancestral, Indigenous wisdom alongside western trauma-informed practices creates a holistic and unique experience - one that offers more depth than most medicine retreat spaces that focus solely on one or the other.

All participants are also thoroughly screened and interviewed, ensuring the highest level of safety for everyone involved.

We encourage couples and family to apply - we've witnessed incredible healing when two (or more) people embark on a journey to do the work together!

Each member of your party must submit an application and pass the medical screening.

We only admit adults over the age of 21. 

As of April 2006, all street drugs are legal to be carried in small quantities by individuals in Mexico. Specifically, sacramental or traditional use and cultivation of fresh mushrooms is legal. This is in line with the interpretation of the UNODC Bulletin allowing the sacramental use of psychotropic preparations. We work with a local, indigenous shaman who is familiar with the local laws, law enforcement and medicine community ensuring that we are always acting in accordance with the highest standard of the law.

Your investment in the retreat DOES NOT include the cost of mushroom medicine. Psilocybin is legal in Mexico when done in a ceremonial and sacramental context. Due to current regulations outside of Mexico, MM Journeys does not include the cost of the mushrooms in the retreat package price. Guests will be served medicine at the discretion of the medicine man/woman at the retreat under their guidance. The indigenous shaman will always give medicine for free and you are welcome to give a donation.  In this challenging landscape we are committed to providing our guests with the safest, most legal option in psilocybin-assisted retreats.

Mexico is like the US - there are many very safe places as well as some dangerous areas. 

Our retreats are held in San Miguel de Allende, which is generally considered one of the safest cities in the country, with a low crime rate compared to other parts of Mexico.

Violent crimes are infrequent, and most recorded crimes are non-violent, like petty theft. Just like in any city in the world, it's a good idea to take basic safety precautions.

Upon flying into Leon Guanajuato International Airport, you will be provided a warm welcome and transportation to beautiful San Miguel de Allende. We will be lodging and holding ceremony in a picturesque luxury boutique inn that overlooks historic San Miguel.

​Once settled in, a delicious organic farm to table dinner will await you, followed by an official welcome and orientation where we share about what to expect and create a sacred container of safety for your growth and MAGIC!

We will begin our Mexican grand adventure by taking an all day trip to the organic regenerative farm “Via Organica” in the countryside of San Miguel de Allende.  At the farm we will be making offerings so that our journey can be blessed by this sacred land. We will do a ritual to the corn goddess, Chicomecoatl, as she is the deity that has been worshiped in this area of Mexico for thousands of years. Chicomecoatl provides nourishment, sustenance, abundance and good fortune. As part of this practice and to bond with Chicomecoatl, we will hand make tamales with masa and ingredients grown on Via Organica. We will enjoy our delicious tamales with a view of the surrounding mountains. This ceremony will set the foundation for our transformation together as we embark on this Magical Medicine Journey.

​On this day we will also work with the spirit of the mushroom by microdosing and having a gentle introduction to this medicine in our system. There will be a space to meditate and set powerful intentions for your journey. During this time, you will also learn how to make a plant offering where you will infuse your prayers and creative energy into beautiful creations as a gift for Chicomecoatl. This will be a profound experience that has the power to connect you to your new guardian spirit in a very unique way. 

While on the farm, we will take a walk to see where all our organic food will be coming from that will be prepared for us at the hotel. The meals for this day will include a traditional rancho style lunch and an organic farm to table dinner that will be served back at our hotel.

Today we will wake up and ground ourselves in restorative yoga and then take time to explore the culturally rich downtown of San Miguel de Allende. We will be sure to stop by the renowned artisan market where you can shop for beautiful handmade artwork and gifts.

In the afternoon, we will return to our hotel to prepare for the deep dive we will take in our sacred Medicine Ceremony.

This is a once in a lifetime experience that has the power to shift you in such a profound and positive way that it will give you exactly what you need. This all-night ceremony will be facilitated by Xochitl Ashe. In order to create a tight container and safe space, we will welcome two additional medicine people for support: Inti (Xochitl’s father) and Marilu (Xochitl’s aunt).

This day is one of rest and integration. After the ceremony many of us will want to sleep in or relax. A delicious brunch will be served when you rise.

There will be an optional trip to the botanical gardens to see hundred year old cacti, meditate and allow our spirits to process our first medicine journey. We will close the day with a traditional Cacao/ Psilocybin Ceremony guided by Xochitl Ashe to deepen our integration of the previous night’s Ceremony. ​ ​

We will venture to the ancient Otomi Pyramids and have a ceremony in honor of the indigenous ancestors and keepers of the land on which we are holding our journey. We will call upon the ancient medicine of this land and the people of the stars whose pyramids demonstrate their intimate knowledge of cosmic alignment. We will also have an Intention Setting Circle as we prepare for our second Medicine Ceremony.

After some rest & relaxation, we will have our second all-night Medicine Ceremony to expand our hearts and minds as only this sacred medicine can. ​We will honor the New Moon - for many ancient cultures, the new moon signified calling in the energy of sacred beginnings - a celebration of all that was and at the same time welcoming in an era of renewal in our lives.

After another restful morning, we will have a Rebirthing Ceremony to ritualistically celebrate the new way of being we will be entering into. To further our rebirthing process, we will then visit the mineral rich waters of the Hot Springs and treat ourselves to the relaxing baths of these sacred waters which well up from the very womb of Mother Earth. ​​ ​

A Day of Goodbyes and New Beginnings. We will end our journey together with a Closing Council and Ceremony. This day will honor our hard work, rejoice our new friendships, provide blessings, and discuss integration back to “normal life”.  Departure time will be at 1pm. 

As we say our farewells, we admire the new beings we have become and courageously embody the power of our true selves, taking into our hearts the Magic of our Mexican Medicine Journey.​

All retreats attendees will be invited to both a preparation and integration virtual zoom meeting. 

The preparation session will take place prior to the retreat and is an opportunity to meet your fellow travelers and gain tools to prepare yourself to fully immerse in the trip of a lifetime. 

The integration session will take place after the retreat and provides an opportunity to continue distilling the magic from the retreat into tangible take-aways with the support of Xochitl.
