The colonial project did not just take land. It took our relationship with abundance. It taught us to brace, to hoard, to earn our worth, to distrust the flow of life itself. It taught us that hardship was something to be endured alone, that resilience meant bracing and pushing through, feeling isolated and scared, as if that were simply the cost of being alive. And somewhere along the way, many of us forgot a truth our ancestors lived by.
The earth does not struggle to receive rain. The flower does not earn the sun. Abundance is not a reward. It is the natural state of life.
One of the most profound things my cancer journey has given me is this: I have learned to receive in a way I never have before. The love, the support, the care that poured in, I had to learn how to let it land. And what opened in me through that practice changed everything. That is what I want to share with you.
You were born knowing how to receive. That knowing lives in your body, in your lineage, in the intelligence of the earth beneath your feet. This workshop is an invitation to come home to it.

What You Will Walk Away With
In Open Hands, Full Life we will move together through the indigenous wisdom of receivership, not as a mindset hack or a manifestation trend, but as a sacred, ancestral reclamation.
We will look honestly at what closed us, what conditioned us to refuse, shrink, and deflect the very things we are calling in. And we will practice, in community, the art of opening again.
Resilience vs. Agility
An understanding of how the colonial project conditioned us to brace, to push through, to see hardship as something we had to earn our way out of alone, moving through it feeling isolated and scared. You will begin to see that pattern clearly, and you will begin to loosen its grip.
Opening to the Flow of Life
A practice for identifying and releasing what has closed you off from receiving, so you can step into the natural current of life, build the community you are calling in, and inhabit a state of true openness.
The Indigenous Art of Agility
What it actually means to move through life with fluidity rather than force, and how to bring that quality into your relationships, your work, your healing, and your everyday choices.

About Xóchitl Kusikuy Ashe
Xóchitl Kusikuy Ashe comes from a long line of medicine people. A fifth-generation Afro-Indigenous Quechua Aymara healer, she was initiated into her ancestral traditions at 16, becoming the first woman in five generations to receive these teachings.
For over 30 years, she has sat in ceremony, worked with plant medicines, and walked alongside thousands of people healing their lineage, their lives, and their relationship with the earth. In 2025, Xochitl was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her journey through treatment became an initiation of its own - into the depths of receivership. The outpouring of love and support from her community allowed her to experience the medicine of abundance in a whole new way. It is from this place of open-hearted receiving that she offers this workshop.
As the founder of Magical Medicine Journeys, an Indigenous-owned business, Xochitl is committed to keeping her ancestral wisdom alive and accessible. She is the creator of the Sacred Mushroom Oracle Deck (Hay House) and has brought her teachings to Stanford University, Esalen Institute, and ceremonies across the world.
This workshop is an invitation to remember the truth of who you are - through Xochitl's story, through indigenous wisdom, and through your own body's knowing. She lives this work. And she will meet you in it.
